We are going out on Friday evening for my birthday! I have acquired us a pair of babysitters for Dora, so no need to worry about that. I don't think that we should worry too much about the Prophet's warnings either. No one will bother us if we go out to dinner at a Muggle restaurant.

So I forgot my lunch this morning, and in the interest of not being poisoned by what the Ministry calls food, I went out in search of some place to get real food and found this great little sandwich shop a few blocks away. Best sandwiches I've ever had, after my mum's and my wife's, of course. You should all try it. You'll need to bring Muggle money, but it's definitely worth the trip to the bank to make the exchange. They were really nice too in addition to having great food, and they had all sorts of desserts, though I didn't get a chance to try any of them while I was there. That's going to have to wait until next time.

In other news Dora learned how to turn her hair two different colours at the same time last week, pink and purple. It's really fascinating what she can do. If I could have done that as a child, I would have had blue hair all the time.
